When worlds collide
The American Society of Composers Artist and Performers came to my attention in the form of Courtney Hard, a bartender at the smallest club in Athens. Urban Henry’s shows there had become legendary because of a few absolutely nutty shows where a fight broke out and a knife got pulled.
I was also working hard on creating the groups publicity company, Industrial Strength Promotions and had released to EPs available exclusively at Wuxtry Records.
The ASCAP rep contacted me and long story short, I became a member. I became the ASCAP rep and ultimately got the Peabody job as a result. Funny how things work out, I’ll write this tale out in detail later.
